This past weekend, I officially graduated Magna Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Film & Television! These past 4 years at SCAD have been the most fun, transformative, rewarding, and challenging years of my life. If I could go back and talk to freshman Mac, who was moving into the Hive all alone in the peak of Covid, anxiously wondering if she would fit in here, I would tell her that she is capable of SO much more than she thinks. SCAD brought me my lifelong best friends, pushed my creative limits in ways I couldn’t imagine, and helped me gain so much confidence as a filmmaker, a storyteller, and as a person. From making music videos, to editing short films, to directing my first commercial campaign, to making a feature length documentary, I have worked on so many amazing projects and collaborated with some of the most talented people. I’m so excited to see what the future holds for me and I’m forever grateful for the experiences and relationships I’ve made here. Savannah, GA, you will always be home to me ❤️

I’m so thrilled to share that “Queen of Hearts”, our documentary telling the story of our friend Brooke Sturgis, is available to watch now on queenofheartsdoc.com ♥️Brooke has been one of my best friends since our very first day at SCAD, and after freshman year, just a couple weeks after we had all arrived home for the summer, Brooke unexpectedly went into heart failure. This began a rollercoaster of a year, with Brooke undergoing 2 transplants and overcoming the unimaginable.2 years ago, Swen Richter texted me and asked if I’d like to work on a documentary telling Brooke’s story, and without any hesitation, I was all in. To create a feature film alongside my best friends, on top of being full time students, was the most rewarding (and challenging) project I’ve ever been a part of. I’m endlessly grateful for and proud of Brooke, Swen, Brianna Fisher, Grant Davis, and everybody else who played a part in bringing this film to life, and I’ll never have enough words to describe how meaningful this experience has been for us all.Brooke’s journey of strength and perseverance through the toughest of battles serves as a reminder to us all to live every day to the fullest. She is a constant inspiration to me and so many others, and I’m so honored and excited to be able to share her story with you all.

"Queen of Hearts" Official Trailer! For the past 2 years, I’ve been working alongside the talented Swen Richter and Brianna Fisher to tell the story of Brooke Sturgis, one of our best friends who unexpectedly went into heart failure and received a heart transplant after our freshman year of college. This documentary follows Brooke’s journey not only in the hospital, but in the years afterwards as she comes to terms with what happened to her, overcomes countless obstacles, and navigates her new normal. Throughout her entire experience, her courage and determination never once faltered, and her story serves as a reminder to us all to live every day to the fullest. I’m so extremely grateful for and proud of the entire team for the amount of work that has been put into this film. Brooke is a constant inspiration to me and so many others, and I’m so excited to be sharing her story with you all. For more information, visit queenofheartsdoc.com

This past weekend we shot my Senior Film Capstone, the DoorDash “Scary Fast” Campaign, a series of 3 commercials that parody off of the horror genre and promote DoorDash’s quick delivery. This project has been in the works for 5 months, and serves as a culmination of everything I’ve learned over these 4 years of film school. It was my directorial debut and it couldn’t have gone any better!Thank you so much to the talented cast and crew who helped bring this vision to life, and a special shoutout to my amazing co-writer Grant Davis, my producer Brianna Fisher, and my DP Swen Richter, who were all by my side over the past 5 months for countless late nights, brainstorm sessions, location scouts, and script revisions to make sure these commercials came out the best they possibly could. Now onto post-production!!!
